Lost crown or veneer

If you’ve lost a crown or veneer, keep hold of it until next time you come in to see us. Keep your tooth as clean as you possibly can with fluoride toothpaste. Otherwise, if you feel more comfortable trying to put it back on, you can purchase temporary dental cement from either the pharmacy or have look online.

If you do choose to glue it back on, particularly if its a back tooth, once you have put the cement into your crown (the instructions will be on the back of the temporary cement kit) make sure you can bite your teeth together and try to make sure that everything meets before the cement sets. Be sure the crown is in the right position.
